Whispering Winds  Farm

We are a  small farm located in the  mountains of New Hampshire
In  the town of Lancaster. The view from the porch looks out at the beautiful
Killkenney Mountain Range.

We have a small flock of Registered Iceland Sheep who we shear twice a    .
year. Their wool is processed into rovings and yarn, some is blended  with
Mohair and Llama for our "North Country Blend". Our Icelandic Sheep
come in a variety of colors, their wool is left in natural  shades of grays,
browns, black and white. We have a few corriedale sheep who also
produce  a nice wool, theirs is dyed into some beautiful colored rovings
and yarn.

We have a herd of Myotonic goats, AKA Tennessee Fainting goats,
Angora Goats and Llamas, we breed our does for late Spring kids. We have
recently added a small herd of Boer goats  and will soon be adding a few
Nubian does for milkers.

Plans are to one day open "The Wooly Goat Shop" selling our fiber, wool,
yarns and rovings  along with "homemade" goats milk soap and other items
from  the farm. Watch for it on line.

Our farm is also home to  five Chinook Dogs, a breed of dog that was
developed, bred and raised in New Hampshire for the purpose of dog
sledding. In the 1980's the breed was endangered, any remaining dogs
were  too closely related to breed, After years of  working on a cross
breeding program,  breeders were able to bring the breed back. We also
have Alaskan Huskies and a Border Collie X Aussie, horses, cats and hens.
